Signs of Whooping Cough~very under-diagnosed...

Here it is in a nutshell..have a cough? Not usual to strep or anything like what you have experienced?
THE BIG SIGNS OF WHOOPING COUGH: You are normal, voice and throat one second..then all of a sudden, you are coughing like a seal almost..uncontrollably, for around 45 seconds or so..then poof, it is gone! All normal again, and in between these harsh boughs of coughing and trying to catch air, you can even go sing at karaoke..like normal. Video samples of children coughing
are below-

BABIES: terrible cough, red faced because of the stress of the intense coughing...
Outlook: very dangerous for elderly, infants, immune stressed...
GET TO A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you think you have it, or your child.
The test takes a week to get in, so get the meds NOW while you wait...
7 week old
Older baby
5 yr old

Studies show that more than 75 per cent of infected babies catch whooping cough from family members and 50 per cent of these babies are unknowingly infected by a parent. This includes parents, grandparents, adult family members, friends and adult caregivers who will be in close contact with the baby. The baby is "cocooned" (or surrounded) by people who can spread the whooping cough.

I stopped immunizing with my second child just before the two yr old shots, so I will just add to keep the cough sounds in your head and keep the folks away from the babies!

Take it from me, you need to be your own doctor, lawyer, everything these days...don't rely on one of anyone..I don't care what their credentials are! Screw only the first & second opinion..get a third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or more..by the time you have talked with all of the professionals or at least studied off of more than one 'professional' looking page, you will know most of what you need to know on any given topic..of course, depending on how in depth the subject matter is, or how varied the opinions..then you simply(well, very difficultly) must keep chipping away, gathering more mazes of information to get the best determinate outcome...and remember to balance intuition with knowledge...more on my personal whooping cough story later...
